EuroNCAP Protocol Update – Harmonized Nomenclature for Crash Test Barriers

We would like to inform you of a recent update published by EuroNCAP in March 2025, introducing a harmonized nomenclature across all crash test barrier protocols, including AE-MDB, M-PDB, and FWDB.

While there are no technical changes to the barriers themselves, EuroNCAP has updated its documentation standards as follows:

As part of this change:

M-PDB Barrier
TB-022 to CP-101
for Frontal M-PDB barrier
FWDB - FULLWIDTH Frontal Deformable Barrier
TB-042 to CP-102
for Frontal FWDB barrier
TB-014 to CP-201
for Side AE-MDB barrier

These changes will officially take effect on January 1, 2026.

To ensure a seamless transition and continued clarity:

Please be assured that all ARGOSY barriers remain fully compliant with the current technical specifications as well as the updated Euro NCAP nomenclature.

If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your continued trust in ARGOSY.
