Argosy International is pleased to announce that Argosy Japan Aerospace Materials Co. Ltd. (AJAM), our distribution operation in Nagoya, has been certified to AS9120B and ISO 9001:2015. Following a successful on-site audit completed in May 2026, AJAM has been formally added to Argosy’s multi-site certificate issued by Bureau Veritas Certification North America, an accredited certification body under the IAQG Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) scheme.
AS9120B is the internationally recognized quality management standard for stockists and distributors of aerospace materials. It builds on ISO 9001:2015 with requirements specific to aerospace distribution — including traceability, batch and lot control, airworthiness certification handling, and the prevention of counterfeit and suspect unapproved parts entering the supply chain. For OEMs, MROs, and tier suppliers, sourcing from an AS9120B-certified distributor is frequently a procurement prerequisite, not a preference.
AJAM’s certified scope covers the distribution of composites, specialty chemicals, honeycomb cores, crash test barriers, and materials for the aerospace industry and other industrial applications. The certification confirms that the quality system governing Argosy’s global operations — first certified in 2006 — now extends formally to our Japanese site, alongside our New York headquarters and our ACAM manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

Customers working with AJAM gain locally held inventory and a local point of contact, backed by a certified aerospace quality management system. Material supplied through Nagoya carries the same documentation rigor, traceability, and quality controls as material supplied from any other Argosy site — with shorter lead times and support in Japanese. The certification can be independently verified through the IAQG OASIS database.
